Just to take a shot in the dark, it sounds like you have the polarity reversed. This is a common problem with the setup of welders. There should be a sticker inside the machine that shows how to set the polarity depending on what type of wire you are using.

This might sound a little silly, but check your ground. Shine the metal up with a grinder. Also check your ground for a broken wire.

Problem with mig welder
I BOUGHT A 110 LINCOLN MIG "WELD PACK 100" USED AND WHEN I WENT TO USE IT THE THING TURNED ON IT FED WIRE BUT IT DOESNT HAVE ENOUGH POWER TO EVEN MELT THE WIRE SO WITH THIS IN MIND I WENT OUT AND BOUGHT A NEW 175HD FROM HOME DEPOT AND IT DOES THE SAME DAMN THING I CHECKED THE POWER WITH A WIGGENS AND I HAVE WELL ENOUGH POWER I CHECKED THE 110 VOLT FIRST AND THE 220 FOLLOWING IS IT THE WELDERS OR ME ""PLEASE HELPP"""
